This graphic novel presents three tales, each exploring loss and finding out what matters the most.
In “The Red Tree,” a young girl wakes to a day filled with disappointment and confusion. As the day passes she lets her imagination run wild with awful thoughts and ends up feeling even more alienation and despair. But then she spots this tiny red bud...and it grows to become a mature brilliant tree...and she finds hope.

In “The Lost Thing,” we see a world full of mechanical steampunk gadgets, strange cold buildings, and aloof unfeeling people. Everyone goes about their business hardly seeing what is around them until a young boy spies something strange and unusual—a lost weird creature. What should he do? In the end he decides to take it home with him...it just seems like the right place for the thing!
