Young Alice was an outspoken and fiercely independent girl in a time where such things were not considered ladylike. Alice did what she wanted to do and didn’t care who told her not to—even her father. She rode pigs, kept a pet snake, and went speeding above the speed limit

in a time when women didn’t even drive!
When her dad told her that it was his roof and that under it his rules were to be followed, Alice decided to live as much as she could on top of the roof!
