The Hinky-Pink
Megan McDonald
Living in Florence, Italy Princess Caramella summons the young seamstress Anabel to the castle and gives her the impossible task of creating a new ball gown in one short week.
Anabel is locked in a tower so no one will bother her while she works. But each night she is pinched and her covers fly off her bed. Maid Mag reveals that a hinky-pink spirit is unhappy because it doesn't have a bed. Anabel tries fashioning a bed from velvet curtains laid on a
table, but that is too high and hard. A cradle turns out to be too teetery, too tottery.
With the crabby hinky-pink spirit bothering her all the time, how will Anabel be able to finish the gown in time for the Butterfly Ball?
