Dog in Boots

After reading a story about a cat wearing splendid boots, a brown and white terrier-type pooch decides that he needs the perfect pair of shoes. So off he goes to a shop where the owner fits him with a pair of beautiful boots just like the cat wore.
However, the splendid boots get all muddy when he tries to dig for his bone.
He returns to the shop, where he trades the boots for bright yellow galoshes. They are

great for digging, but terrible when he goes for a swim.
The dog heads right back to the shop to trade the galoshes for flippers. The webbed shoes are totally awesome for swimming, but cause huge problems when Doggie tries to scratch his ear.
Back again and again, the dog tries shoe after shoe—even high heels and skis—but not one of the pairs is perfect. The shop owner says that is
