Growing up in Mother Gothel's garden, the young Rapunzel ponders about what lies beyond the enormous wall surrounding her home. A forbidden look over the wall on her twelfth birthday reveals to her the dark, dismal landscape beyond, filled with mines and smoke-billowing towers.
Rapunzel also notices a woman from her recurring dream, who just happens to be her birth mother. A furious Mother Gothel breaks up

a brief, heartfelt reunion before she banishes Rapunzel to a tree-house prison in the forest.
Not one to remain in captivity, Rapunzel uses her lengthy braids to escape her prison and then teams up with the clever Jack (of beanstalk fame). Together, these two unlikely companions—along with a stubborn goose—set out across the Wild West landscape on a non-stop, action-packed adventure to rescue Rapunzel's real mother and defeat the bad guys.
