The Name of the Star (Shades of London, Book 1)
Maureen Johnson

|
Teen Rory Deveaux trades the sultry slow life of Louisiana for the academic rigors of a year at Wexford boarding school in London. Unfortunately she lands in London in the middle of a spree of copycat killings that echoes the 1888 grisly murders by Jack the Ripper.
As the police hunt for a prime suspect in the brutal murders, Rory settles into the school and meets new friends. Some of them are very unusual...they can see ghosts just like Rory can!
|
Unfortunately, she comes across the ghostly killer—and he intends to continue killing until Rory surrenders to him!
It's time to go on the hunt. Employing a terminus, a device that eliminates lingering ghosts, Rory and her sighted snarky friends take to the London underground to hunt down the deadly spirits and “terminate” the Ripper.
