about the book

Owen and Russell Evans are identical twins, but sharing a birthday is about all the similarity between them: Owen is a basketball star; Russell is the captain of their school’s Mathletes. This is just the way the two brothers like it, as whenever they get in the same room together problems tend to arise.

So of course events conspire to bring the two together in the closest way possible: Russell is recruited onto the basketball team!

It is his height that did it. How unfair is it that they are twins, and yet Russell has grown taller than Owen? Their dad couldn’t be happier having both sons on the team and spares no expense getting Russ high-end shoes and practice clothes, leaving Owen feeling like he’s being replaced.

However, Russ develops misgivings about joining the team when it becomes apparent that basketball and the Mathletes will not mix. He cares deeply for both, but when it comes to it, which will he have to give up?
