about the book
Connaughton Academy is where the American elite send their children. It’s full of “entitled faces framed by generations of flawless breeding, exquisite genetics, perfect teeth—future masters of the universe gathered … to prepare for their college years and a lifetime of the best of everything.”
And Will Shea has conned his way in.
His cover? After his missionary parents died, the people from his church sent him to Connaughton on scholarship.
Unfortunately for Will, Andrea Dufresne sees right through his false life story. Why? She’s a fellow con artist.
The school isn’t big enough for two cons, so Will and Andrea strike a deal. Whoever can con Brandt Rush—the richest and most privileged student at the school—out of $50K, gets to stay.
May the best con win.
about the author
By the time he was ten, Joe Schreiber’s family had lived in Alaska, California, and Wyoming. This gave him a restless nature. After graduating from the University of Michigan, he “just kept moving” from LA to New York, Philadelphia to Portland…
Joe has had a variety of jobs because of his constant moving: pet-sitter, office boy, waiter, and bookseller to name a few.
In the midst of everything, Joe always found time to write. The first novel he wrote in high school was awful, “as was the second, third and fourth,” but he kept writing. He currently has over ten novels published, several of which are Star Wars Expanded Universe novels. Star Wars meets zombies anyone? Or a Darth Maul prison break?
Joe currently works as an MRI technologist in Central Pennsylvania. He lives with his wife and kids.
