about the book

My big brother Mark was always mostly evil: knocking me down, locking me up, and squashing me under or between things. Mum says Mark is just “home-moanal.” He does moan a lot at home, so I guess it makes sense.

But now that Granny and Grandad got Mark a chemistry set, Mark’s become an Evil Scientist.

His first experiment involves dunking Frankie the goldfish into toxic green gunk.

So I zap the fish with a batter, bringing him back to life! But Frankie’s not just a goldfish now. He’s a big fat zombie goldfish that has hypnotic powers… and he’s out for revenge.

Mo O’Hara grew up in Pennsylvania and now lives in London. She chose London because she wanted to live abroad, but didn’t speak any foreign languages.

After a brief and unsuccessful career as a serving wench at the Tower of London, she began working as an actress and comedy performer. Eventually she landed a job touring the UK as a storyteller. This is when she realized kids like, laughed at, and didn’t fall asleep at the stuff she wrote herself. She was hooked!

In Mo’s My Big Fat Zombie Goldfish series, the main character has a very evil older brother. For the record, Mo’s older brother is not, nor has ever been, evil. Together, they even revived their own pet goldfish from the brink of death (true fact).
