about the book
Princess Celie’s favorite day is Tuesday. That’s the day that the Castle Glower adds a new room, moves a room, or redecorates. Celie’s family has always had a special relationship with the Castle, but Celie seems to have an even closer bond.
Then disaster strikes. The king and queen’s entourage are attacked while they are on their way to their oldest son’s graduation from Wizard School, and now they are missing—and presumed dead. The Councilors are pushing Prince Rolf to declare himself King.
Will the Castle protect the family or declare allegiance to a new king? Will Celie’s maps of the castle help her save the family and the Castle?
about the author
Jessica Day George knew she wanted to be a writer when she was just twelve years old. She has always loved reading books and writing them. When she buys a purse, she makes sure it is big enough to carry a book in it.
Jessica was born in Idaho and graduated from Brigham Young University with a degree in Humanities/Comparative Literature. She has done a lot of odd jobs on her path to becoming a writer, including a video store cashier (she loves movies), a wedding invitation factory worker, a school secretary, and even a library aide. However, she has never wavered from the career she knew she would follow—a children’s book writer, because as she says, “It’s all about the books.”
Jessica now lives in Salt Lake City, Utah, with her husband and young son and a five pound Maltese named Pippin.
Jessica also writes book reviews at Goodreads; you can check them out at www.goodreads.com. You can review, argue about, and recommend books, too!
