about the book
Meet Wayne Wilson, a mercenary better known as Deadpool. Disfigured and mentally unstable, he is a real anti-hero, a wisecracking guy with a talkative nature and totally unpredictable. His mental issues come from his psychosis, probably brought on by his amazing healing and regenerative powers. The guy can re-grow his head. Let’s face it, popping out a new head…or two…or three has got to leave you a little crazy.
As Deadpool wakes from a food induced coma—he ate too many chimichangas—he sees that the diner he passed out in is empty. With all the staff gone, he doesn’t have the pay the bill, right? High-tailing it out of the place, he is shocked that the entire city of New York appears abandoned, too!
Unfortunately the city isn’t quite as empty as he thinks—zombies roam the streets. What’s worse, these creatures know they are zombies, don’t like it, and are looking for an out!
Now the logical thing for Deadpool to do is to search for survivors and take on the mantle of leader, right? Not Deadpool. He’s only concerned about where he will find his next junk food fix and Golden Girls marathon! So he heads off to find a nice comfy place to just wait out the apocalypse. His cowardly plans go up in smoke when he stumbles upon ground zero, a badass old lady, two young children, and a couple of military types.
How do you fight a horde of zombies that beg for forgiveness, tell you to run, and horrorified over what they are about to do? Be assured that Deadpool will get down to business, and there will be a lots of violence, even more carnage, and plenty of dead brain suckers…along with a snarky remark or two! If you love zombies…or hate zombies…this dark graphic novel is perfect for you!

about the illustrator
When he was small, illustrator Ramon Rosanas loved to draw but didn’t discover story telling until he stumbled on Asterix, created by French author Rene Goscinny and illustrator Albert Uderzo. Then he knew exactly what he wanted to do—tell stories in panels, some small, some taking the whole page. He had discovered comics!
At the age of nineteen, Ramon started selling his comics to magazines and made small contributions to Marvel UK. For the next fifteen years, he worked for newspapers and was a freelancer for such big names as Elle, Simon and Schuster, Macmillan, Oxford University Press, and several top advertising agencies.
Ramon was thrilled when he had a chance to go back to illustrating comics. Acclaimed for his expressive characters, he worked with Marvel on The Age of the Sentry, Spider-Man 1602, Agents of Atlas, and 36 others. He recently worked on the comic adaptation of the movie Iron Man 2 and volume four of WW2.2.
He lives with his family in a small village outside Barcelona, Spain.
