about the book
Seventeen-year-old Micheline Helsing is a tetrachromat who can see the auras of the undead in a prismatic spectrum. With her Van Helsing lineage, Micheline has trained all of her life to destroy monsters—both corpses and spirits. Corpses are shot down with a bullet, but spiritual energy must be captured on film.
At her side, she has her team: Oliver the tech-whiz, developer of her special camera technology; Jude, predictor of death; and Ryder, the boy who has had Micheline’s heart forever.
During a ghost hunt gone wrong, Micheline and her crew are infected with soulchain, a curse that threatens to kill her and her friends. The only way to survive is for Micheline to exorcise her entity—and she has only seven days.
Now her monster-hunting father wants Micheline to be a renegade agent, leaving her with the task of destroying the most powerful monster she’s ever encountered.
