about the book
Elmore Green’s life is wonderful. His parents think he is the best, funniest, cleverest, most adorable little person they have ever seen. He often dresses in superhero or cowboy costumes. He has a room all to himself, and inside, he can line up all his toys just the way he wants and never worry about someone coming in and knocking them over. And he never has to fear that his jellybean collection will get licked.
Then everything changes. Elmore’s parents bring home a new “small person,” which Elmore cannot bring himself to call his baby brother. “It” is a total nuisance. It seems like everybody likes “It” more than they like Elmore. What’s worse is that “It” comes into his room and starts knocking over Elmore’s things. “It” even licks his jellybeans… That’s it, “It” has to go. Somehow…
Elmore’s parents have other plans. They are making Elmore share his room! Now what is Elmore going to do?
